    In February of this year I called to have my payment date changed due to the fact that I get one check a month and I'm on social security disability. That check comes the second Wednesday of the month but they had my payment date is the third of each month. They told me that they would take care of it and change the payment date. The next month I got a text message saying my payment was due on the 3rd so I called again they said no problem we can change your payment date. This month I got another text message saying my payment is doing the 3rd so I did the live chat and the guy tells me that my payment date had been changed but it's going to take at least two billing cycles for it to take effect. I tried to explain that I was on the second Wednesday of the month pay schedule with social security but there was nothing he could do if he said and that if I didn't have my payment in by 5:00 p.m. on the 3rd it would negatively impact my credit and I would also be assessed a late fee. I told him it's been three billing cycles and it hasn't been changed and now I'm going to be penalized for it and then he said there's nothing he could do and I better have my payment in by the third.

    I had a balance on my CC that had been paid off in full. Fortiva then charged me a late fee because their bank was holding up the payment. I spoke with a representative, again after the late charge and they waived my late fees and put my cards balance to $0. The next two months after my card was closed on February 23, 2022 I was charged late fees for an account that was closed and held a $0 balance. I am receiving collections notices now to pay off my late fees and Fortiva customer service refuses to do anything about it. They're scamming money from people each and every day and refuse to take any action in the customer's favor.

    After my email earlier today in regards to my Fortiva account, a Fortiva representative called back and claims that she will be waiving my charges entirely that are "past due." ******, her name, says I will also receive mail in **** business days showing this has been completed.

    I've called their ******************* (Fortiva) since Feb asking for a cancellation and to have these monthly charges removed and have made payments on the account to resolve anything outstanding. But again I've been charged a fee and they need to refund me for all other fees that have been paid that were above and beyond when I originally asked for a cancellation. $50 refund This complaint will hopefully help resolve this and get them to cancel the account as well. *********************

    Please be advised that when you received your Fortiva Credit Card in the mail, you received the Pricing Disclosure which is part of your Cardholder Agreement, and the Pricing Disclosure advised you of the fees associated with the account.Please note that pursuant to the terms of your account, beginning with the second year after your account opening, you are billed an account maintenance fee in the amount of $150.00 annually, billed at $12.50 per month. The Cardholder Agreement also states that the account maintenance fee will be assessed to your account each month as long as your account is open, or you have an outstanding balance. Our records indicate that your Fortiva Credit Card account was closed on January 15, 2022.
    Although the billing of the account maintenance fee, the late fee, and the return check fee were all in accordance with the terms of your account, as a courtesy, to resolve your dispute, we issued a total credit in the amount of $160.82,representing the two (2)late fees, four (4) account maintenance fees, two (2) interest charges, and the return check fee. Please allow ***** business days for the refund check to be received via mail. Additionally, a request has been submitted to the credit bureaus to show your Fortiva Credit Card tradeline as never past due. Please allow 5 to 7 business days for your credit report to be updated.     Merchanrt is charging me for ******,. The charge was in the pending. The charge was never submitted to the company. Now the company is placing the charge on the credit card. The Merchant was on the phone and verified with the company that they never sumbitted the charge.

    Fortiva Retail Credit for Bobs furniture for the first year I had no issues, the last four months been sending bills that i immediately summit my payment on the due date stated on the account, apparently with out my knowing they have been charging late fees, i have never missed a payment intentionally ( ever) i have always set up my payments, I have received a notice of late payments and i have never been notified of late payment fees. It seems like they internally are making my payments late by not providing the correct date on the statement, I have reached out three times and demanded a supervisor with no avail, the ************ speak English and this is an extremely un honest and deceptive

    Our records indicate that on February 22, 2022,you opened a Fortiva Retail Credit account to finance a purchase with Bobs Discount Furniture.
    Please be advised that all fees that are being assessed to your account are made in accordance with your Cardholder Agreement.The Cardholder Agreement states that if you fail to make a timely payment, you agree to pay a Late Payment Fee of up to $41.00. Since we did not receive the minimum monthly payments assessed to the account, your account was assessed late fees for the months of October and November 2021 and April and May 2022.
    We understand that your intention was to make complete and timely monthly payments in order to avoid late fees from being assessed to your accounts. In order to assist you, we have waived four (4) late fees that were previously assessed to your account in the amount of $150.00. Please refer to your billing statement for future minimum payment amounts and due dates in order to avoid future late payment fees.

    Our records indicate that on March 1, 2021,you opened a Fortiva Retail Credit account to finance a purchase with Furniture Row in the amount of $1,726.33. On April 19, 2021, we received a payment in the amount of $1,575.33. This payment brought your account balance to $0.00. Please note that we did not receive a request to close your account at that time.Since your account was open, on March 3, 2022, an annual fee was assessed in the amount of $49.00 in accordance with the cardholder agreement.
    Please be advised that all fees that are being assessed to your account are made in accordance with your Cardholder Agreement.The Cardholder Agreement states that an annual fee in the amount of $49.00 will **** every year on the anniversary date of your account as long as your account is open, or you have an outstanding balance. Since we did not receive the minimum monthly payments associated with the new balance on the account, your account was assessed late fees for the months of April 2022 and May 2022.

    I would like a refund of $120. I was under the impression that I had opened a line of credit not a credit card. I never received a physical card or I would have closed the account. The late fees and annual fee in this case are erroneous.

    I applied for a card with Fortiva on July of 2021. I never received a card but notice that there were transactions happening on the account. I reached out ot Fortiva to have a replacement card sent and to reverse the charges. It took me several months and disputes with the credit bureu to have the charges credited back to my account. As a result of the all the complications I requested to have the account closed. I was told that the acount would be closed. It was brought to my attention that my account was still active so I requested a new replacement card on 4/25/22 and requested that the card be sent express. I never received on the card on 4/28/22 as I was told I would receive it. When I called and spoke to one agent she told me the card was sent and would arrive on 4/27/22 I was transferred to speak with a supervisor to get tracking information and at that point I was told that the card hadn't been sent and that I would receive it until 5/2/22 and it would still be express shipped. I called today on 5/4/22 and was told that the card was not express shipped as I initally requested and that it woldn't arrive until 5/20/22. After speaking with another supervisor on 5/4/22 I was then told that the card was shipped on 4/30/22 and that the initial card request was apparently never processed. I've asked to have another card sent overnight I was told that was impossible, I've requesting some kind of confirmation or tracking information on trying to locate the card and I was told that too was impossible. They apparenlty refuse to close the account after I made several request to have the account closed back in 2021. On my credit reports it says that the account was closed but according to their records and interaction the account is still open. I either would like to have the replacement or to have the account closed and completely removed from my credit report because I have NEVER received a card nor used the account.

    Your correspondence expressed concern regarding your Fortiva Credit Card account. Our records indicate that on July 14, 2021, you opened a Fortiva Credit Card account. On August 10, 2021,you called **************** and informed us that you had not received your card and requested that we open a Fraud Investigation of your account. On September 29, 2021, our **************** completed their investigation and confirmed that the charges were fraudulent, and a $148.04 refund was issued to your account.
    On November 16, 2021, you submitted a second fraud claim and on December 13, 2021, the investigation concluded, and you were refunded $316.94.On May 4, 2022, you requested that we send you a new card. That same day a new card was mailed to you via express mail and on May 7, 2022, your card was activated. The balance on your account is $318.66. We hope this addresses your concerns.

    Your correspondence states that a Fortiva Credit Card account was opened fraudulently in your name and should be removed from your credit bureau report. Our records indicate that a Fortiva Credit Card account was opened on December 28, 2019, ending in 1309.Upon receipt of your correspondence, our **************** conducted a thorough and complete investigation.

    Our **************** concluded based on our records, that this account was not opened in a fraudulent manner. Accordingly, the account is being reported accurately to the credit bureaus. Please be advised that the address listed on the application was your home address and the address where we mailed your Fortiva Credit Card.The email address and telephone number on file are the same email address and telephone number on your application as well as the same email address and telephone on the Better Business Bureau correspondence, we received from you.In addition, the telephone number on file is the same telephone number used to activate your Fortiva Credit Card via the **** Please note that your Fortiva Credit Card account is still open, and your outstanding account balance is $0.00.     Account was closed on 4-24-22 for no reason at all and won't be reopened. I had a payment due on 4-24-22 and couldn't make this payment due to changing banks and made the payment asap on 4-27-22 and they even reversed the late payment of $29.00 which at the time I thought was great by them. But they still closed the account and won't reopen it when I have a 20+ month history of on time payments before this last 4-24-22 payment.
